Isle of Wight Weather
The Isle of Wight has one of the best climates in the UK. Hot, dry summers
and mild winters make for many days of golf.
It is not unusual for the rain and cloud that sweeps up the English Channel to affect the mainland but leave the Island unscathed. In the summer gentle sea breezes keep us cool and in the winter the sea has the opposite effect keeping the course relatively frost free in all but the coldest weather. Freshwater Bay Golf Club received the award for Best Winter Golf Course from Hampshire Golf Magazine for good reason.
